For good power transmission and a long service life there is a high-quality, robust metal gearing. The kickback protection facility with an instant mechanical chain brake will stop the chain immediately if the GH-EC 2040 rears up suddenly. A large window makes it easy to see how much oil is in the oil tank of the automatic chain lubrication system. The big filler opening makes it easy to refill the oil. For safety in the event of the chain coming off the rail, there is a chain catch bolt. A robust claw stop made of metal ensures safe handling and it also serves as a pivot point when sawing horizontal trunks. A stress-relief clip protects the power cable.
